I’m a student of the history of science and technology, musicology and the science of communication (which means mostly audio-technology) at the Technische Universität Berlin. I use this site to collect information about how music and technology influence each other, how the experience of making and listening to music is mediated by technology, and how the idea of what is and is not music changes over time. Naturally, being a historian in the making, I try to make sense of it all by looking at where it came from and how it developed.
