Jan Schmidt is a communication sociologist, currently working at the Forschungsstelle "Neue Kommunikationsmedien" (Research Centre "new communication media")(University of Bamberg, Germany) on social software. His Bamblog is mostly in German, but there is an english feed available as well since every now and then there will be english postings.
